Chilton Centre Section Spar vertical to keep the System Three Clear Coat epoxy on intercostals while curing. |
I am building a Chilton DW-1 monoplane from the Roy Nerou plans of the Chilton Aeroplane. Building the aircraft takes precedence over updates, but more photos will be posted of my DW-1 over time. The Chilton D.W.1 was a racing aircraft in its day. The aircraft is extremely efficient providing respectable speed for horsepower. For more information the best source is Roy Nerou's Chilton website. There is also a Chilton DW1 Yahoo group with information regarding building.

Centre Section Spar Clear Coat Layers
The centre section spar has been positioned to keep the System Three Clear Coat epoxy on the parts. This has meant additional work but the coat is even on all surfaces. My Chilton project updates have been sparse, shorter and less detailed than I would prefer. The workshop is in the process of being moved to a new location due to my work. This has slowed progress as is obvious by the lack of posting. The project is only on hiatus and I am hopeful that 2013 will mean renewed progress, and find this blog more interesting.
