Front Centre Section Spar Glued

The front center section Chilton DW-1 spar is finally glued. I have cut two sets of spar flanges and parts to finally complete one spar. This was due to a defect I could not live with on the first spar flange, so I recut everything. The upper and lower spar flange parts were glued as sub-assemblies and then put into a jig for the final glue up of the intercostals.

I used System Three Gel Magic in the u-TAH cartridge which works very well and has a dye confirmation of the correct ratio. It is quite a contrast to the T-88 that I like in bottles but sadly cannot trust in the u-TAH cartridge, due to the lack of any visual confirmation of a proper ratio feed.

Marks were put on caul packing pieces to indicate when the joint was tight and the correct spar dimension was reached, as well as not squeezing out too much glue.
